Posted Saturday, September 29, 2001 by Red Phoenix

As you can see, we did get the design fixed. If you find any problems, let me know.

There are two new AC Amusements on the site, as promised. Be sure to check those out!
Contest Reminder
Posted Friday, September 28, 2001 by Red Phoenix

Don't forget to get your contest entries send in ASAP. The contest ends in a few days. We will have the results up soon.
Coming soon...
Posted Friday, September 28, 2001 by Red Phoenix

Last night I was working on another update when I noticed that the design isn't quite fixed yet, so hopefully Ogre or I will be able to figure it out soon.

We hope to add another ACA track from Dark Rider as soon as that design problem is figured out and fixed.

Next week, it's going to be Saved Game week here at the Station. If you sent in a saved game, chances are, it will be posted next week, as long as it's good enough. Either way, you will know via an email response.

The tracks section is being worked on as we speak. Rob Tonto and I are getting the old tracks ready right now, and we hope to get the tracks section up soon, and get all of your tracks up as well.

Also, the email addresses for submissions will be changing soon, so stay tuned for that info.
All Better

Okay, sorry for the design problem earlier. We have it all straightened out now. Be sure to vote in the new poll!
Posted Thursday, September 27, 2001 by Red Phoenix

As you'll see, the design is all messed up right now. I forgot to backup the file before editing it, so please bare with us while we try to get it to work properly.
New Track Pack
Posted Thursday, September 27, 2001 by Red Phoenix

Our very own Steve Franks has come out of his design shop with a brand new real world track pack. We're proud to announce his recreation of Apollo's Chariot @ Busch Gardens Williamsburg. You can check it out right here.
Tycoon Planet Awards
Posted Wednesday, September 26, 2001 by Red Phoenix

The first annual Tycoon Planet awards have recently been announced. Awards cover just about every array of things. It would be appreciated if some of you would vote for RCT Station in the Non-Hosted Site Awards. Thanks to you wonderful people, we were able to bring home several other awards in the past, and it would be wonderful to bring home a few more.
Saved Games
Posted Wednesday, September 26, 2001 by Red Phoenix

There are a few new Loopy Landscapes saved games up. Also, Ogre has redesigned several portions of Ogrewood 1, so be sure to check out the update there as well.
Community News
Posted Tuesday, September 25, 2001 by Red Phoenix

I would first like to say that if you are one of the sites in the community news, send me an email for the new address.

The biggest news came from Danimation. You can check out the site yourself to find out what's going on. The news comes to no shock to me really, as I saw this coming for quite some time. My hat goes off to Dan and Alex for the job they've done running the network. I wish them the best of luck with their future adventures.

The obvious question that has come up in both my email box and the forums, is "will RCT Station start a spotlight?" Quick answer is I don't know. With Danimation ending that feature, it certainly made me think about it for a minute, and as of this moment in time, it's undecided. Dan and I usually chat about once every other month, so maybe we'll chat about it sometime. Dan, if you read this, IM me when you're online at the same time as I am.

On to the rest of the news now.

RCT Paradise has announced the results for their latest competition, as well as some important news.
Worlds of Fantasy is working on a move to Tripod, beause 50 megs is starting to charge for hosting.
RCT Inc has added a "P-Spot", which is basically a publically-voted spotlight to their site, so check that out.
The RCT Depot will be moving to Tycoon Planet soon. The webmaster has also announced plans on his first real world track pack. They've added some tracks and they're looking for submissions.
JPark RCT has announced that the winners have moved onto the next step in their RCT Tourney. They're also looking for forum members.
Skeg's RCT was down for a while, and they're looking for submissions.
RCT 1000 has announced plans to close the site.
Quick Update
Posted Monday, September 24, 2001 by Red Phoenix

There are a few changes to the links page. Also, you will find a navigation bar across the top of the forums. We made one for Gametropics, but never fully implemented it. The bar will allow you to check out all of the network sites and forums with a simple click, thus making us all an even better community.
More Specific
Posted Sunday, September 23, 2001 by Red Phoenix

I should have been a little more specific on what's new. Other than the obvious cosmetic changes, there are some actual updates alread in the site. There are a half-dozen new saved games on the site. One of them includes Ogre's Ogrewood series of parks, as I know people were looking forward to that.

As I said yesterday, things will be rolling here shortly. I have lots of stuff to work on here, Ogresnet.com is still in its barebones version, and there's a new Ogresnet site coming up soon, so I'm getting that ready as we speak.

Do please bare with us through the next few weeks. I can guarantee that what you will see coming up will make you happy, especially when we get the regular sections updated more frequently, and yes, this does include the tracks section. Rob Tonto will be assisting me with that, and as you can see, it's still under construction. There are a few other sections that are under construction as well.
Ogre's Network Officially Launches
Posted Saturday, September 22, 2001 by Ogre

Ogre is extremely happy to launch this brand spanking new game network. The people he would like to thank for making it all possible are Red Phoenix, Mithras, and Railwolf. Each put in lots of hardwork and hours to get the network ready to launch. As some of the people visiting here know, all of us here use to work on the Game Tropics Network. Well now that is defunct and this is what we have decided to do about it.

Unlike Game Tropics, you will find information on all gaming genres and platforms. Though you will also still find the great PC strategy information that you have come to expect. Plus you also can find all of the our top notch fan sites still kicking away.

So once again Ogre is glad to say everything is up and running and to say thanks to all the ones who made it possible :)

Welcome to our new home. With this being new, there will probably be some mistakes, so if you find some, let me know.

Please note my new email address, so don't use the old one, please.

We hope to get things into full swing here shortly. There are tons of minor changes throughout the site, so browse around.

RCT Survivor 2 will start soon, so stay tuned to that.

Webmasters, please update your links, so they are directed to the new url.
