Most workbenches have a base height of 6 or 7 height marks as their Ground Zero. How wide are the tiles? The debate still rages about the true size of Mr. Sawyer's tiles. This has caused me to return to make new test runs but this time using the monorails in point to point shuttle mode. They proved to produce consistent track lengths each time as apposed to my previous measures with go-karts. Using the monorail with 1 small car first backwards from a single tile station, then forwards from a single tile station produced the following track lengths: 1,758 feet & 1,748 feet respectively -- a difference of 10 feet. Using the suspended monorail with 1 car first backwards from a single tile station, then forwards from a single tile station produced the following track lengths: 1,758 feet & 1,752 feet respectively -- a difference of 6 feet. What do these two differences indicate? 1. That the game's algorithm recognizes the difference in the length of the car occupying the station. 2. That the disparity in the lengths, depending upon the direction of travel, is the length of the platform not being displaced by the car itself. 3. That the algorithm is measuring the length of the track from rear edge of the cars. 4. Since the two tracks, even with different length cars, was the same when run backwards out of the station, the station length is being taken into account in that direction. What can we conclude? The largest RCT land plot is 126 x 126 tiles. The physical dimensions are 1,758 x 1,758 feet. An RCT land plot is 3,090,564 square feet. 1,758 / 126 = 13.95238 feet per tile. The dimension of each land tile is 13.95 x 13.95 feet. One tile equals 194.6689 square feet, or 64.8896 square yards. An RCT land plot contains 70.9 acres.
