I'm too busy trying
to win the scenarios to worry about theming. Why should
I bother with it, it costs money and takes up time just
for the sake of making the park look *nice* |
|
It's easy to overlook
theming. It does use up cash but can have other positive
effects:
increases park value
increases park rating
increases ride excitement
Each of these things are objectives in one or more scenarios,
so theming can help you to achieve objectives more easily. |

Is there a way to raise
land when you can't highlight it?
I've frequently found myself with one square of land
below the surrounding land squares and I can't seem
to get it highlited so I can raise it back up. The only
way I've found is to methodicall |

Instead of making the
terrain tool only on tile wide make it 2*2 or 3*3 then
put it over the area you want to raise. The outer tiles
will not rise until the lowest one has reached the height
of the others. |

How do I build tunnels
so that I can build rides through them?I have checked
out heaps of sites and they say that I should have a
tunnel option in the landscaping mode but I don't.Can
you respond to as whether I need to buy a new version
or do sonething e |

You don't build tunnels!
The tunnels are built automatically when you build the
ride or create the paths. Add track or path pieces until
you reach the land and click to add a piece of track
or path. The game will either start the ride or path
tunnelling, or will give you a message that you must
raise or lower the land. Depending on the direction
you want to tunnel, the piece of land that you want
to tunnel into is easiest to do if you make sure that
it is perfectly horizontal or vertical. |

When a square of land
is half water and half land, sometimes you can place
a tree there, and sometimes is says "cannot be placed
in partial water" or whatever.... weird, because it
only happens sometimes. I have tried rebuilding the
land/water section, bu |

I think you just answered
your own question! Some scenery objects need all the
tile to be the same, some only use half the tile (so
you can get 2 of them on the same tile, and others only
use a quarter of the tile (so 4 on the same tile is
possible). |
